This Privacy Policy explains how Andrew Palhetas ("I", "me") collects, uses and protects your personal information on TwiceTheSummers.com (the "Site"). I follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

What I collect
- Information you give me: your first name, last name (optional) and email address when you sign up, plus a record of your consent (date, time and the wording you agreed to).
- Information from emails: whether emails are delivered, opened or clicked, so I can keep the list healthy and useful.
- Technical information: basic data your browser sends, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, handled by my hosting provider for security and performance.
Why I collect it
- To send the free gifts you asked for (the audiobook, the Winter Number worksheet, the Joint Venture Pack and Where the Market Stands Today).
- To send the welcome emails and the newsletter you agreed to receive.
- To share news about the book and offer a free one-on-one consultation if you want one.
- To keep the Site secure and working.
I only use your information for these purposes, or as the law requires.
Consent
I collect your email only with your express consent. The newsletter checkbox is never pre-ticked. After you sign up, you'll get an email asking you to confirm your subscription (double opt-in). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who handles your information for me
- MailerLite stores the email list and sends my emails on my behalf. It acts as my service provider (processor) and may store data outside Canada, including in the European Union and the United States.
- Cloudflare hosts the Site and protects it from abuse. It may process technical data outside Canada.
When information is stored outside Canada, it may be accessed by courts, law enforcement or national security authorities in those countries under their laws. I choose providers that protect information with safeguards comparable to those required in Canada.
I do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Cookies
The Site uses only the cookies and similar technologies needed for it to work and stay secure, such as those set by Cloudflare. Emails may contain small tracking pixels and tracked links that tell me whether an email was opened or clicked. You can block cookies in your browser settings, and you can turn off image loading in your email app to stop open tracking. If I add analytics or advertising cookies later, I will update this policy first.
How long I keep it
I keep your information while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, I keep a minimal record (your email and the date you left) so I respect your choice and can show compliance with CASL, and delete the rest within a reasonable time.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe: click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. It takes effect right away, and always within 10 business days.
- Access and correction: you can ask what information I hold about you and ask me to correct it.
- Deletion: you can ask me to delete your information.
- Complaints: email me first. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
How I protect it
I use reputable providers with encryption and access controls, and I limit access to your information to what's needed to run the list.
Children
The Site and newsletter are for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
I may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes, I'll let subscribers know by email.
